Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze went to the subway station in order to get familiarized with the current situation.

Patrol police and rescuers are working on the spot. Currently, passengers are being evacuated from the station.
The rehabilitation of Varketili subway station was completed in September last year.
