Turkey suspects the US in the death of five servicemen during the Operation Olive Branch in Syria’s Afrin city, Turkish media reported Feb. 5.
It was established that a Turkish tank in Afrin was destroyed by the Javelin anti-tank missile system manufactured by the US.
It was earlier reported that Turkey had informed the US of intention to buy the Javelin anti-tank missile system, but the US refused.
On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched the Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, Syria.
