Turkish Armed Forces, Free Syrian Army liberate over 50 settlements in Syria’s Afrin

Fifty-two settlements were liberated in Syria’s Afrin district, the Turkish media reported Feb. 16 referring to a military source.

Reportedly, the Turkish Armed Forces and the Free Syrian Army have recently liberated six more settlements.

On Jan. 20, the Turkish Armed Forces, together with the Free Syrian Army, launched the Operation Olive Branch in Afrin, Syria.

 

F-16 fighters of the Turkish Air Force are involved in the operation, inflicting strikes on the positions of PYD/YPG on the Syrian-Turkish border.
