Saakashvili confirmed readiness for talks with Poroshenko

Former head of Odessa State Administration Mikheil Saakashvilistated that he is ready to hold political talks with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and the Presidential Administration.

 

"When I talk about the need for negotiations with all political actors, including Bankova (the Presidential Administration of Ukraine is on Bankova Street - FNI), they are needed in the interests of the country. If we want a peaceful transition from an oligarch to a normal life, we need to talk," Saakashvili said.

 

On Monday, December 11, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv refused to petition the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine to elect a measure of restraint for the former head of the Odessa administration, Mikheil Saakashvili, in the form of house arrest.

 

In the evening of December 8 in Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained Mikheil Saakashvili. The third president of Georgia was detained in the apartment of the former head of the State Institution of Non-Profit Organizations in the Lugansk region, Yuriy Pokinboroda, on Prospect Mourning in Kyiv. On the night of December 9, Ukraine's Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko noted that Saakashvili was placed in a temporary detention facility.
