The U.S. Dow Jones stock index ascended 0.45% to 21,711.01 points, S&P 500 increased by 0.70% to 2,477.83 points and NASDAQ rose by 0.16% to 6,422.75 points.
In the European stock markets, FTSE 100 index went up by 0.24% to 7,452.32 points, Germany’s DAX raised 0.33% to 12,305.11 and French CAC 40 rose 0.56% to 5,190.17.
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price ascended $13.30 to $1,268.90 an ounce, and silver price surged $0.24 to $16.70.
