US President Donald Trump has asked to invite Russian President Vladimir Putin to Washington in the autumn, according to the White House, Icmal.Az reports quoting U.S. media.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the president asked national security adviser John Bolton to make the invitation.
It follows Mr Trump's meeting with his Russian counterpart earlier this week in Finland.
