The Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be resolved within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and in accordance with international law, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the 6th Congress of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) on Thursday.

"We could never allow a second Armenian state to be created in our territory," said President Aliyev. "Returning to historical lands is our political and strategic goal.”

The head of state said Armenia is left out of all regional projects, noting that the isolation will continue until Azerbaijan’s occupied lands are liberated.

Speaking about the importance of army building, President Aliyev said that international rankings show the power of the Azerbaijani army.
